Boy, was it ever hard to leave the parking lot!!! This is half the lot
as we arrived...
This was the other half! Every car you see out there is a Triumph!
As the day wore on, the lots filled to over capacity. New parking spaces
were 'made', and you can see the final row or Triumphs peeking over the
hill! To some, this was their first clue there were lots of cars up there.
A beautiful example!
We in the United States are always searching for that elusive Surrey
Top. Let me tell you folks, they are all in England!
Interesting paint job. This guy's Herald(?) parked behing the TR3A had
the same paint scheme.
This WAS a Triumph Rally Car...
Someone decided they needed a bit more room in the back of their TR7.
Not well executed, though.
A thing of great beauty...
Looks like fun???
This is Leon Guyot's Vittesse. I seriously doubt there is another one
near as nice in the world. For all those inquiring minds who need to know,
that is Rich Jackson wearing a rather rude white t-shirt and sunglasses.
And this is Leon Guyeot, posing next to his masterpiece. (His doors
close nicer than my '98 Dodge Ram)
Doesn't this look like fun? I wonder how quad SU's would work on my
TR3???
This guy must be serious about going fast!
The nicest Mayflower I have ever seen.
The TR4 Dove. The GT conversion authorized (?) by Triumph. Pretty cool!
Love the Dove emblem.
Alas, the crowd is thinning out. The show is almost over.
Driving around merry 'ol England that weekend was giving me whiplash.
the day before the event, I think everyone had their Triumph out to make
sure it was full of petrol, and would make the trip to Gaydon. Traveling
to the show on Sunday morning, while cruising down the motorways at a very
high rate of speed, I'll bet we passed 75 Triumphs making their way to
the show. On the way home we were going 90MPH and got passed by two 2.5PI's
who must have been clocking at least 100... What a day!
